Field Service Engineer

Overview

 

We are a leading systems integration specialist looking for new service engineers.

Our engineers provide support to Corporate Clients based across the country for audio visual system.

We undertake site visits for service calls and provide preventative maintenance support to Clients as required.

Our clients include high profile companies, major corporate clients and educational institutions.

 

 

 

Role and Responsibilities    

  • - Provide preventative maintenance support to Clients as required
  • - Reactive servicing of audio and visual systems
  • - Testing and configuring of  Video conferencing systems
  • - Servicing and programming of Custom control systems
  • - Completing paperwork for each job attended within a short timeframe

Project Administrator

Overview

 

The project administrator will work within the projects division ensuring efficient coordination of project resource in the field. You will have excellent planning and organising skills along with experience and ability to prioritise a busy workload in a continuously changing environment to stringent deadlines. 

 

 

Role and Responsibilities    

  • ·   Primary responsibility is daily management of installation resource diary

    ·   Distribution of project information  to install teams

    ·   Assist project managers with project resource planning

    ·   Coordination of site surveys

    ·   Assist project coordination team in delivery of small projects

    ·   Covering project manager tasks during holiday periods

    ·   Compiling project documentation (O & M manuals)

    ·   General project admin support for PMs

    ·   Assist with development of project process work flow documents

Service Vacancies

AVM Impact has one of the biggest dedicated Service Departments in the industry by both staff numbers and revenue. It consists of field engineers, onsite technicians at our managed services sites, as well as our support and helpdesk teams.The Service Division supports all brands of presentation product including preventative maintenance, emergency call-outs, loan equipment, 24 hour emergency support and onsite support from our outsourced facilities management service. Overview

Working within our large Service Desk team, this busy and varied role will involve dealing with AVM’s impressive client base ensuring that a confident and professional level of customer service is being delivered. The role will be based in our Sunbury head office.

The role:             

  • Answering incoming calls within an appropriate time frame, to a high level of customer service.
  • Take responsibility for the resolution of 1st line faults
  • Logging calls accurately and to AVM standards in the call management system.
  • Allocate and chase closure on calls.
  • Follow all internal processes to ensure service activity targets are met.

Partner Business Coordinator

Overview   

 

The successful candidate will be based from our head office in Sunbury but will be required to travel to the city. The Partner Business Coordinator will provide support to the Partner Business Development team.  

 

Location: Sunbury

The role:

·         Coordinating and liaising with partners of the company's global alliance (GPA) for international requirements

·         Collating performance metrics from the CRM and internal drive for key partners on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis

Senior Audio Visual Technician

Role Summary
The Senior AV Technician’s prime function is to provide AV technical support across all meeting rooms on the London Campus.
The position involves a high degree of exposure, working sometimes with executive management and managing directors of the Bank to provide the services listed above.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
All services should be delivered punctually at scheduled times and in accordance with agreed SLA’s. The Senior AV Technician is expected to arrive in good time for the start of the scheduled meeting setup-up time and remain until the required service is functioning correctly.
The Senior Audio Visual Technician’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
Video / Audio Conferencing
- Video / audio conference setup and support. Best efforts should be made to ensure all sites are connected on time and receiving / transmitting good audio / video.
- Site certification of all new and relocated video conference systems.
- Carry out video conference software.
- Assist with support for video / audio conferencing problems. Investigate faults and recommend further actions to rectify.
 
General AV Meeting Room Support
- Ensure all multi-media / presentation rooms are maintained in good working order.
- AV equipment setup and support.
- Presentation / multi-media meeting room support, including duration support.
- Assist with support for multi-media broadcasting.
- Quick response to emergency / ad-hoc requests.
 
Faults and Room Checks
- Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure.
- Ensure that all faults are reported in the correct way and in a timely manner.
- Proactive maintenance / reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly.
- Assist with first line fault repairs.
- Carry out all power down / up when required, usually involving out-of-hours overtime commitments.
 
General Duties
- Mentor other members of the team, including Locums.
- Assist with the training of all technical team members.
- Advise clients on best practice.
- Provide regular feedback on communication issues and service improvements.
- Focus on service / operational issues for review.
 
Global Co-ordination
- Maintaining a good working relationship with global AV counterparts.
- Hold and attend regular meetings with global AV teams to discuss service and operations issues.

Junior Hire Technician

Role Summary

The role will consist of delivering and installing the clients AV requirements mainly in London and the Home Counties on a day to day basis. On occasions AVM will support the event so the successful candidate will need to be flexible as this may mean early starts and late evenings with some occasional weekend work. The ideal candidate will need to be smart, well presented and extremely helpful as the role will be client facing. The candidate will also need to be fit and healthy as some heavy lifting will be involved.

  • - Rigging and de rigging of PA systems and plasma screens
  • - Working with Clients to ensure they receive excellent service
  • - Liaising with Clients and the office to ensure smooth running of the events
Skills Required

Audio Visual Technician

The position involves a high degee of exposure, working sometimes with client executive management directors to provide the services listed above.
